Educationally-based bowling field trips

The bowling field trips have a high benefit for all learning types, but have proven to be especially beneficial for the kinesthetic learner, offering hands on world applicable learning curriculum. Field trips offer new learning environments to students. Recent studies have shown people retain:

  • 10% of what they read
  • 20% of what they hear
  • 30% of what they see
  • 50% of what they hear and see
  • 70% of what they say
  • 90% of what they say and do.

1. Math Curriculum for Bowling Field Trips

The purpose of this field trip is to offer real world lessons in mathematics within a fun and safe environment for grades K-6. The trip covers areas of mathematics such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, graphing, and oral communication in grade-appropriate activities. With this field trip, teachers will receive:

  • complete curriculum guide,
  • suggestions for centers that may be used in advance of the field trip to help students make the most of the activity,
  • as well as tools for use during the outing, and evaluation forms.

2. Science Curriculum for Bowling Field Trips

The purpose of the field trip is to offer real world lessons in science within a fun and safe environment for grades K-6. The K-2 field trips cover areas science such as weight, size, flotation, and shape recognition in grade-appropriate activities. The 3-6 grade field trips cover areas of science such as measurement, the metric system, and Newton’s laws of motion, as well as more advanced incorporation of scientific inquiry and technological design. With this field trip, teachers will receive:

  • complete curriculum guide,
  • suggestions for centers that may be used in advance of the field trip to help students make the most of the activity,
  • as well as tools for use during the outing, and evaluation forms.
