GOT QUESTIONS?
WE GOT ANSWERS.

How to play?
Playing Nexus is simple and fun. After checking in, you'll receive a briefing on the rules and safety guidelines. You'll then gear up with a Nexus vest, facemask, and a gel blaster (no mask needed if playing Laser Tag) Enter the arena, where you'll navigate through various obstacles and attempt to blast opponents and targets while avoiding getting blasted yourself. The game combines strategy, teamwork, and quick reflexes.

How to win?
Winning in Nexus depends on the game mode. Generally, players or teams earn points by eliminating opponents and completing objectives. The team or player with the highest score at the end of the game wins. Strategic planning, communication, and accuracy are key to securing
victory.

How do the blasters work?
The gel blasters use small, water-based gel pellets as ammunition called Gellets. Gellets are safe, non-toxic, and designed to disintegrate on impact, leaving no mess. The blasters are easy to use, with a trigger mechanism that shoots the gel pellets at opponents, and can only be fired during a match. The software that runs on Nexus Smart Blaster controls the Gellet firing mechanism allowing for the simulation of different blaster styles (e.g. full auto, bursts, and semi-auto). These styles or blaster modes add gameplay depth and strategic options.

Laser Tag vs. Gel Blaster?

The blasters have 2 game play modes; Laser Tag or Gel Blaster. Laser Tag emits a laser light at your target. Gel Blaster uses gellets that fire at your target. Both game modes utilize the NEXUS haptic vests and blaster devices. Masks are required for the Gel Blaster mode, however they are not needed for the Laser Tag mode. Laser Tag may be better for very young kids, or those players who don't like the "sting" of the Gellets. When purchasing admission to the game, let the attendant know which mode you are interested in playing.

What are the different Gel Blaster modes?
The Nexus Smart Blaster can take on different characteristics depending which game is being played in a Gel Blaster game. In Knockout and Team Knockout, players can choose from three blaster modes; SMG, Revolver, and Sniper. Each of these modes have different rates of fire. For example, SMG is the fastest, and Sniper the slowest. They also have different damage rates, SMG equals 10 pts per a hit, Revolver equals 20 pts, and Sniper equals 50 pts.

How is Nexus scored?
Scoring in Nexus varies by game mode but generally involves earning points for tagging opponents, completing objectives, and achieving game-specific goals. The scoring system is tracked electronically, with real-time updates displayed on the Nexus Smart Blaster screen and scoreboards around the arena.

How do the Nexus vests work?
Nexus vests are equipped with sensors that detect hits from gel pellets. When a player is tagged, the vest registers the hit and sends the data to the scoring system. The vests are lightweight, adjustable, and designed for comfort and mobility during game play.

What is the age limit to play?
There is no age limit, but player must be able to fit into the vest and masks safely.
